PACO TEAM BUOYANT AHEAD OF HK MILE

Richard Hannon jnr believes Paco Boy has an "outstanding chance" of signing off his racing career with victory in the Hong Kong Mile at Sha Tin on Sunday week.
The three-time Group One winner was last seen finishing fourth behind old rival and history-making mare Goldikova in the Breeders' Cup Mile and Hannon jnr, son and assistant to his father Richard, expects the demands of Hong Kong's premier racecourse to suit him much better than Churchill Downs.
"He ran a very good race in America all things considered. The track was too tight for him and he didn't turn well at all," Hannon jnr told At The Races.
"He made up a lot of ground in the straight and the last quarter of a mile was run in record time.
"He's in very, very good form going into this race - maybe even better form than he was in going to America.
"The guy who rides him out every day says he's moving great and he feels very good. He's leaving the yard at 6pm and is on a 9pm flight to Hong Kong.
"He travels well and while it can take its toll on them, it shouldn't make too much difference to him.
"This is his last race and he goes off to Highclere Stud for his stallion duties afterwards. There is £820,000 to the winner of the race on Sunday week, so it is well worth having a crack at.
"I think most of the horses in the race he's beaten already and if he runs to his best form, which he very rarely doesn't, he should go very close.
"The track will suit him a lot more than Churchill Downs. It's a long straight and he's going to have an outstanding chance."
